American sportswear Foot Locker have released a new advertisement featuring New Orleans Pelicans power forward Anthony Davis.

The 20-year-old NBA star stops a little boy from scoring a basket.

Davis slams the ball against the child's garage before commentating on proceedings.

While the kid, who is kitted out in a Nike shirt and sneakers, looks incredibly baffled, Davis runs off screaming 'MVP, MVP, MVP.'

Davis is averaging 20.4 points per game this season - but that has not been enough for the Pelicans to push for a place in the playoffs.

The Pelicans are currently fourth from bottom in the Western Conference.
