Manchester United will be hoping they can close the gap on fourth-placed Liverpool this weekend.

The Premier League champions are currently six points behind Liverpool and are 13 points off current leaders Manchester City.

However the Red Devils could leapfrog both Tottenham and Everton tomorrow if they can secure all three points against Stoke City.

Manchester United go into the game on the back of a comfortable 2-0 midweek win over Cardiff City.

David Moyes' side have beaten Stoke twice already this season - having beaten The Potters at home back in October and in the Capital One Cup in December.

Moyes will be hoping they can follow up their win against Cardiff by claiming all three points against a side managed by another former Old Trafford hero.

Ashley Young is expected to keep his place in Manchester United's starting line-up after impressing against Cardiff.

Moyes may also hand Wayne Rooney his first start since Manchester United's New Year's Day defeat against Tottenham.

Manchester United predicted line-up: De Gea; Rafael, Smalling, Evans, Evra; Jones, Fletcher; Mata, Rooney, Young; Van Persie.
