All week long ESPN have been running a countdown of the Top 25 players in the SEC division this year.

And they've finally named their number one, with the honour going to Texas A&M's mercurial quarterback Johnny Manziel.

Manziel beat out Auburn running back Tre Mason, C.J Mosley of Alabama and his Aggies wide receiver teammate Mike Evans to the top spot in the list.

Over the course of the season, Manziel is a well worthy pick for the best in the SEC. The QB has improved on his Heisman winning season and seemingly matured.

He finished the season with 4,114 passing yards, 37 touchdowns and 13 interceptions. He completed 69.9 percent of his passes and averaged 9.59 yards per attempt. When running the football, Manziel averaged 5.3 yards per carry, racking up 759 yards and nine touchdowns on 144 carries.

With Johnny Football declaring for the draft however, we wonder who will take his crown as the number one next season.
