Many people might say that the best team in England is probably Manchester City or Chelsea.
However Saturdays performance against Fulham has made me believe that Southampton are the best.
They certainly are one of the most underrated teams in the country at the moment.
Since the appointment of the Argintian Mauricio Pochettino, Southampton have been on the rise and are becoming one of the most feared teams in the country.
The Saints have some of the most promising young English talent at the moment. The likes of Adam Lallana, Jay Rodriguez and Nathanial Clyne could very well be called up to the England national team for the FIFA World Cup.
Rodriguez and Lallana were called up last year for international friendlies and in fairness they had pretty decent games and since then they have just gotten better and better.
Southampton also have an abundance of international talents who are also raising eyebrows. The Italian international player Pablo Daniel Osvaldo even though he is currently loaned he has been a good player for the Saints.
Other players like the Frenchman Morgan Schneiderlin is slowly becoming one of the most wanted central midfielders in the league, teams like Manchester United and Arsenal have shown interest in the player.
Southampton are favourites to avoid the drop again this season and if the manager Mauricio Pochettino stays and continues to develop the club’s style of play The Saints could very well one day be playing champions league.
