Manchester City and Chelsea go head-to-head tonight in what could prove to be an epic clash at the Etihad. 

Both sides are flying high towards the top of the Premier League and will be desperate to claim a crucial win in the title race this evening. 

Ahead of the game, we're going to take a look at a combined XI of the two sides.

Formation: 4-2-3-1

Goalkeeper: Petr Cech

Petr Cech just pips Joe Hart to the No.1 spot in this team. The Blues shot-stopper has once again been in fine form for the Stamford Bridge outfit in this campaign and is still regarded as one of the top 'keepers in world football. 

Right-back: Pablo Zabaleta 

Both Chelsea and Manchester City possess world class right-backs in their sides. Pablo Zabaleta and Branislav Ivanovic are model professionals and constantly shine on a consistent basis. 

Centre-back: Vincent Kompany 

Manchester City's leader Vincent Kompany has without a doubt been one of the top defenders in world football in recent years. The Citizens aren't the same team without the Belgian star's presence.

Centre-back: John Terry 

John Terry struggled for game-time last season, however with Jose Mourinho back at Stamford Bridge, Chelsea's captain has hit form of old in this campaign. The Blues star is still a top class defender and remains a key man for the Blues. 

Left-back: Cesar Azpilicueta 

Cesar Azpilicueta has been sensational in recent time. It's no easy job getting in front of Ashley Cole, but Azpilicueta's performances have been outstanding for Chelsea. 

Central-midfield: Yaya Toure 

Yaya Toure is having another outstanding season for Manchester City this term. The midfielder scores and creates goals while controlling football matches. 

Central-midfield: Ramires

Ramires has proved a key member of the Chelsea team in recent years. His incredible energy helps him take up the box-to-box role at Stamford Bridge as he continues to shine.

Right-wing: David Silva

Manchester CIty winger David Silva remains one of the best wingers in the Premier League. His incredible technique makes him a constant threat to his opponents.

Attacking midfield: Oscar

Oscar has been Chelsea's talisman in recent months. The Brazilian has shined under Jose Mourinho in this campaign and was the main reason Juan Mata had to depart the club. 

Left-wing: Eden Hazard

Eden Hazard has bags of potential and has started to prove his worth in recent months. He has all the makings to become one of the finest players in world football. 

Striker: Sergio Aguero 

Manchester City forward Sergio Aguero may have suffered with another injury setback, however on his day he is near enough unplayable. Manchester City have an array of talent in their front line, but Aguero is the man that really stands out.
