Boxing legend Manny Pacquiao will attend the New York Knicks game against the Portland Trail Blazers tonight as part of the promotional tour for his upcoming fight with Timothy Bradley, according to World Boxing News.

The Filipino pugilist, who is on the comeback trail having sustained two career threatening losses – first to Bradley and then to Juan Manuel Marquez – is a known NBA fan, and flew into New York following the first leg of the promotional tour yesterday in Los Angeles.

Pacquiao has a history of using basketball in the run in to a fight, though it usually entails him playing the sport not watching it. It’s thought that his trip to Madison Square Gardens is his way of relaxing before the intensive training kicks in ahead of his April 12 rematch.

His first encounter with the U.S born Bradley came back in 2012, when he lost under dubious circumstances.

The 35-year-old plans to leave the crowd with little doubt as to who the better fighter is this time around and is will no doubt use the Knicks v Trailblazers game as a way of generating hype for the bout.
