LeBron James scored a scintillating floating dunk from a Dwyane Wade pass as the Miami Heat beat the LA Clippers 116-112.

In a high flying, high scoring game, James got some serious time in the air and went on to get 31 points and 12 assists in LA.

However Blake Griffin put in another tough shift with 43 points and 15 rebounds, despite not coming away with the win.

The rivalry between the two teams has been fierce with the reigning champions not winning at the Staples Center since 2007.

Wade and James had it completely hooked up last night with the pair moving the ball beautifully at times to demolish and Clippers resistance.

But it was Ray Allen who hit a vital 3-pointer in the closing minute that secured the win for Miami.
