San Francisco 49ers quarterback, Colin Kaepernick and Carolina Panthers signal-caller, Cam Newton may be rivals on the field but both will put their differences aside to host Cartoon Network's 'Hall of Game' awards this month.

Kaepernick tweeted today: "Had first production meeting today about #HallOfGame. I am hosting with Cam. Watch the show next Monday the 17th on Cartoon Network at 7p"

The awards ceremony will feature musical performances from Fall Out Boy and Jason Derulo. The gongs will be dished out for categories including 'Dynamic Duo' for the best partnership and 'Best Foes Forever', for which Kaepernick's 49ers are nominated for their grudge with the Seattle Seahawks.

The two quarterbacks met during the divisional round of the NFL playoffs this past year, with the 49ers winning by a score of 23-10. San Francisco were defeated in the next round by eventual Super Bowl champions, Seattle Seahawks.

During the playoff game, Kaepernick celebrated a touchdown by mimicking Newton's 'superCam' celebration.

Newton jokingly said that Kaepernick hurt his feelings in an interview recently:

"It's kind of a tender topic right now. Just stop talking about it right now. I don't know why he did that, but he hurt my feelings. And I think so highly of Mr Kaepernick," said Newton.

Newton also said that he would exact his revenge: "You will just have to wait and see. You'll just have to tune in. There will be a response."

Looks like we could be an entertaining award ceremony.
