Arsenal have opened talks with Czech Viktoria Plzen over a deal for striker Martin Graiciar, according to the Metro.

Reports state that the young forward, who is tipped for a bright future in the game, impressed Arsene Wenger during a trial before Christmas, and the Gunners are now trying to bring him to the club with a view for the future.

Graiciar bagged a hattrick whilst playing for the Arsenal U16s team, and now representatives from the north London giants are locked in talks with Plzen to lure the striker to England.

It’s thought that both Chelsea and Real Madrid have also registered their interest in Graiciar, but Arsenal are willing to part with £200,000 to ensure that they get their man ahead of rival suitors.

Wenger has an excellent track record when it comes to working with aspiring talent and so that could boost the Gunners’ chances of signing him.

However fans will undoubtedly be hoping that the long-serving French boss will also be looking to bring in a more established forward in the summer to ease the pressure on Olivier Giroud.
