Queens Park Rangers' midfielder Adel Taarabt began life in Serie A in impressive fashion by scoring on his debut for loan side AC Milan yesterday.

The former Tottenham and Fulham man made the deadline day switch to Italy after spending the last six months at Craven Cottage, and it took him just seven minutes to open his AC Milan account following a mazy run from the halfway that was finished off with a curling effort into the bottom right-hand corner of the goal.

The 24-year-old has shown moments of quality in the past, but failed to settle down at Tottenham.

After joining Queens Park Rangers and failing to help the club avoid relegation from the Premier League, the Moroccan was allowed to return to the top-flight on-loan with Fulham.

Despite his impressive goal he unable to prevent his side losing the match, with opponents Napoli coming back from a goal down to win 3-1.
