No team likes getting heavily beaten, especially when you enter the game as the favorite. But that was the situation that Iowa State basketball players found themselves in last night, trailing unranked West Virginia 88-59 in the second half tempers got a little frayed.
After a missed shot one Iowa State leapt for a rebound and, just for good measure decided to aim a kick at a West Virginia player.
Surprisingly, no foul was called on the play and West Virginia guard, Eron Harris launched a punch at Monte Morris.

No players were ejected and the NCAA will surely look into the incident which went viral today. The incident comes hot on the heels of Marcus Smart's ejection for assaulting a fan over the weekend.
Smart received a three game ban for his actions, it will remain to be seen if the same sanctions will fall on these players.
West Virginia ran out eventual winners in the game 102-77 over the Cyclones.
