Santi Cazorla believes his Arsenal team mate Olivier Giroud is on par with the best in the Premier League.

Giroud has been in fine form for the Gunners this season scoring 10 goals and creating six. Four of those goals came in his first five games but it has taken him 13 outings to score his last four representing a significant dip in form for the Frenchman.

However, Cazorla says he believes Giroud has the ability to find his golden touch again and says the striker is up there with the likes of Wayne Rooney and Luis Suarez.

When asked by RMC how Giroud compares to Suarez and Rooney, Cazola replied: "For me, he is [at] the same level as the other strikers in the league.

"He is sturdy and can keep the ball. On the surface, he is effective, either with his feet or head. He is a little different from what is done in England, but he offers a lot.

"He is a great striker and has showed it all season, for Arsenal and France. He has improved to a high level and is getting better every year."

Comparing Giroud to the Manchester United and Liverpool star is high praise indeed considering their respective achievements.

Suarez has scored 23 goals in the Premier League this season already, averaging well over one goal a game. Rooney, who has scored a more humble nine this season, is fifth on the Premier League all time scorers list having hit 165 goals for the Red Devils and Everton during his career.

Meanwhile Giroud is down on 21 goals having hit 11 in his first season at the Emirates. However, the Frenchman's link-up play and ability to retain possession means his value goes far beyond goals and assists.
