Inter Milan are preparing a £10million summer bid for Arsenal target Alvaro Morata, reports talkSPORT.

The Real Madrid striker has been frequently linked with a move away from the Santiago Bernabeu, after attracting widespread interest during the January transfer window.

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger was believed to be keen to bring Morata to the Emirates Stadium on loan last month, as he looked to strengthen his options in attack.

However, Carlo Ancelotti refused to sanction the 21-year-old's departure, and he now remains in La Liga for the remainder of the 2013/14 campaign.

The Spaniard is determined to play more regular first-team football, though, and could push for and exit when the transfer window reopens again in the summer.

It means that Arsenal will now face further competition for Morata's signature, with Inter eager to replace the likes of Diego Milito and Mauro Icardi, who are both poised to leave San Siro.
