Chelsea are ready to offer Atletico Madrid £20 million and Fernando Torres in order to secure the services of Diego Costa before the World Cup, reports The Metro

Jose Mourinho is desperate to land a striker in the summer and it now appears that the signing of Costa is a priority for the Special One.

The Blues have been linked to a number of top forwards in recent time, with the likes of Luis Suarez, Wayne Rooney and Gonzalo Higuain all reported targets for the Premier League leaders.

Reports have suggested that Costa will cost Chelsea around £35 million, but it now seems likely that the club will offer £20m and ex-Atletico captain Torres as part of the package

Chelsea's forwards have all struggled at times this season and Costa could now act as the final piece in the jigsaw at Stamford Bridge.

With Atletico seemingly interested in the signing of Torres, Chelsea could get their man this summer.
