Liverpool star smashes into referee during match

Although Liverpool beat Fulham in dramatic fashion at Craven Cottage on Wednesday, defender Kolo Toure still managed to endure a nightmare evening.

Moments after the 32-year-old scored one of the funniest own goals of the season so far, he then went and charged into Phil Dowd, leaving the referee flat on his back.

Dowd stumbled to the ground in remarkably similar fashion to former Premier League ref Paul Alcock, who was deliberately pushed by Paolo Di Canio during a match between Sheffield Wednesday and Arsenal in October 1998.

However, there's no doubt that Toure accidentally clattered into Dowd, who saw the funny side after getting back to his feet - fortunately for the Liverpool defender.
