The celebrity story we had all hoped was true has, somewhat unfortunately, been denied. When reports emerged that Blake Griffin had ‘smacked the shit’ out of Justin Bieber there was always the suspicion the assertion would be rejected and, alas, this has come to pass.

It was claimed at the weekend that Griffin and Bieber had been involved in an altercation at a Starbucks in West Hollywood, as the latter became abusive to staff who failed to serve him a caramel apple machiatto.

Bieber, who was supposed to have been refused service due to having no shirt on, threatened the barista - or so the clearly tongue in cheek report claimed - which prompted Griffin, who had been sat nearby, to intervene.

The LA Clippers star was then said to have ‘smacked the shit’ of Bieber, leaving the singer to stumble out of the Starbucks exit in tears.

As has been reported in the last day or so, however, this story was initially dreamt up by Empire Sports who, like countless people around the globe, clearly wish Bieber was given a clip round the ear sooner rather than later.
