BT Sport has announced that tomorrow's Aviva Premiership clash between the Exeter Chiefs and Bath Rugby will be free to watch.
The game, in England's top flight domestic league, will be available for everyone to watch, whether viewers have a BT Sport subscription or not. It follows the successful airing of Gloucester v Worcester in December.
Simon Green, Head of BT Sport said: “We want to give more people the opportunity to experience all the excitement of Aviva Premiership Rugby and see just how good our coverage is.
"Making games available for all to watch has proved to be extremely popular, our last free game Gloucester v Worcester achieved an average in match audience of 134,000. This is a fantastic way of giving even more people a taste of BT Sport.”
Dominic Hayes, Premiership Rugby’s Commercial Director, echoed Green's thoughts: "The match is already sold out so it is great news for all Aviva Premiership Rugby fans that it can be screened to as wide an audience as possible.
"The Chiefs’ story is one of the most compelling since the game turned professional and in this match they will be facing one of Aviva Premiership Rugby’s traditional powerhouses,” he said.
Exeter currently lie in 8th place in the table and will be hoping to pull off a surprise against 3rd placed Bath.
Viewers can watch the match in a number of ways. On BT TV the game will be showed on channels 507/510/58, Sky viewers can see the game on channels 413/426, while Virgin users can see the clash on channels 547/549, with coverage beginning at 3pm. The game will also be free to everyone online at btsport.com/freerugby.
