Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger believes Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho is scared of failure, reports The Daily Star

The title race is extremely close with Wenger's side currently just one point behind Premier League leaders Chelsea.

Manchester City and Liverpool are also well in contention for silverware, but the Gunners boss believes Chelsea hold the advantage.

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has played down his side's title chances of late, however Wenger believes 'The Special One' is afraid to fail.

“It is fear to fail,” the Arsenal boss said.

“The title race is very open, only Chelsea can lose it now because they are in front. All the other teams can win it."

Wenger believes his side have a great chance of winning the title this season and has insisted that a number of teams will be involved in the race until the end.

He continued by saying: “Yes, I always said that many teams are in it and that it will be very tight until the end.”

“If you are not in a race, you cannot lose it. If you declare yourself not in the race, you cannot lose it simple as that.

“I think that our job is to be ambitious, try to win and if we do not win take full responsibility for that.

“We are in it, we will go for it, give everything and if we do not win, I will take responsibility for it.

“It is very difficult when you are first in the league to distract people.”

Arsenal and Chelsea will both have to put the Premier League title race to the back of their minds as this weekend sees the return of FA Cup action.

Both sides have tricky fifth round tasks, as Arsenal take on Liverpool at the Emirates and Chelsea take on rivals Manchester City at the Etihad.
