Champions League: How will the English teams fare? (4)

Arsenal vs Bayern Munich

Football News

First leg: February 19 at Emirates Stadium

Second leg: March 11 at Allianz Arena

It's difficult to see any other result then Munich dominating this tie. After knocking Arsenal out last season both teams have strengthened significantly, although last season's winners remain favourites.

Arsenal spent £42 million on the signing of Mesut Özil but, with Bayern improving their squad with the likes of Mario Götze and Thiago, it's difficult to see where Arsenal could breach the Germans.

Bayern are still unbeaten this season, rampaging through the Bundesliga, and although Arsenal had a morale boosting victory against Liverpool in the FA Cup on Sunday, the Gunners may not have enough firepower to combat Bayern's armoury of attacking weapons.

Injury to Frank Ribery may help their cause, but Wenger must still get his tactics spot on against the German giants.

With the return leg at home, Arsenal must take a lead into the Allianz Arena or they could find themselves in a bit of a mixed mind of how to combat Bayern's attack whilst trying to score themselves.

Prediction: 4-1 Bayern Munich on aggregate
