Lamar Odom looks set to resurrect his basketball career in Spain after Laboral Kutxa announced that they had agreed a two-month contract with the forward.

The troubled 34-year-old has been a free agent since July having spent the previous season with the Los Angeles Clippers.

Odom, who was married to reality TV star Khloe Kardashian, has reportedly been battling drug addiction for some time, and according to ESPN is now seeking to get his career back on track with a short-stint in Spain with Laboral Kutxa.

The ex-Lakers star has been drafted in to fill a spot  on the roster that had opened up thanks to injury, and ESPN report that Odom is determined to stay in Europe beyond his two-month deal and finish the season with his new team.

They add that it is common for this type of deal to come with a clause that would allow him to return to the NBA if an offer was made.

Odom had initially looked close to returning for another season with the Clippers in October after new head coach Doc Rivers invited him back to practice to see what kind of shape he was in.

Eventually however Rivers signed Stephen Jackson, Hedo Turkoglu and Sasha Vujacic, leaving Odom to look elsewhere.

ESPN does report however that Odom is eyeing a return to the NBA in the future before he decides to retire.
