Sporting Lisbon's highly-rated winger Carlos Mane is attracting interest from as many as six Premier League clubs, reports Sky Sports.
The 19-year-old has broken into the first team at Sporting this season and is now widely considered as one of Portugal's top young players.
The Portuguese outfit managed to tie Mane down to a long-term deal earlier this season but that has done nothing to deter interest from top Premier League clubs.
Manchester United are reported to have discovered Mane while scouting William Carvalho. Upon reporting back to David Moyes, Manchester United scouts have been told to keep a closer eye on the flying winger.
They face stern competition from Chelsea, however with Jose Mourinho retaining good links with scouts in his native Portugal. But Chelsea and Manchester United are not alone in their interest.
Liverpool, Manchester City and Tottenham make up an impressive quintet of interest from the Premier League and the player's representatives have confirmed that a number of clubs are interested in Mane's services.
"Carlos is concentrating on maintaining a place in the Sporting first team," Dan Law of Full Contact told Sky Sports.
"2014 has started really well for him, and he has scored three goals so far, but we should not forget he has yet to make more than ten first-team appearances.
"He also enjoys a long-term contract at Sporting, they value him highly and so it is premature to be talking of a move.
Despite the Premier League seeming like the best option for Mane, it seems that interest from elsewhere in Europe could delay his inevitable arrival in the English game.
Law continued: "I am aware of a number of clubs with real interest and who are keeping tabs on him, and it has to be said that whilst a move to the Premier League is the ultimate goal for Carlos at some point in the future - just one reason being that he has family in the UK already - some Bundesliga and Serie A clubs might appear to be more advanced in their interest at this stage."
