With the NBA trade deadline now less than 24 hours away, teams are desperately trying to cut deals to improve their teams fortunes.

According to Chad Ford via Grantland, the New York Knicks are very interested in acquiring a point guard and are targeting Jeremy Lin for a deadline deal.

Marc Spears of Yahoo News has said that the Houston Rockets would be willing to shop Lin who has a hefty salary of $15 million next year and the Rockets are not willing to pay the price for a player of Lin's questionable quality.

The stumbling block in the trade could be what the Knicks have to give up for Lin's services. Ford mentioned that the New York team would have to consider shopping Tim Hardaway Jr or Iman Shumpert but it remains to be seen whether the Knicks would be willing to go that far.

To compound matters, the Knicks possess precious few draft picks to be used as bargaining chips in this case.

Although both sides appear to be willing to do a deal, the problem may be whether both can come to an agreement within the next few hours as the deadline approaches.
