Manchester United look ready to renew their interest in Paris Saint Germain star Marco Verratti this summer, according to talkSPORT.

The report claims United boss David Moyes dispatched a scout to watch Verratti in action against Bayer Leverkusen in the Champions League on Tuesday night.

The Italy international was superb for PSG as they ran out 4-0 winners. And he may have done enough to persuade United, who have been linked with a number of central midfielders, to add him to their transfer shortlist once again.

He has been mentioned as a United target during the last few transfer windows, but the 21-year-old is also highly regarded by Juventus.

He has drawn comparisons with Juve star Andrea Pirlo for his style of play. Both are excellent passers of the ball, composed in possession and occupy a deep lying midfield role.

Juventus also had scouts alongside United watching Verratti on Tuesday evening, according to the report.

The former-Pescara starlet joined PSG in the summer of 2012, and has this season established himself as an integral part of Laurent Blanc's midfield.

Competition for places is strong in the position, but the youngster has won the trust of his manager with a number of assured performances in high pressure games - the most recent of which was against Bayer.

Check out this short clip of Verratti that sums him up perfectly...
