Arsenal star Wojciech Szczesny could face an extended ban following his sending off against European champions Bayern Munich last night, reports The Telegraph.
The Polish international could now be banned for two games after he appeared to deliver a gesture on his way to the changing rooms.
Despite it remaining uncertain as to whether the gesture was aimed at the officials, it was caught on camera and he could now miss more than just the second leg of Arsenal's clash with Bayern Munich.
With the UEFA disciplinary committee set to meet to discuss Szczesny's behaviour, Arsenal fans will be hoping their 'keeper is only handed a one-match suspension.
Arsenal and Szczesny will now turn their attentions to the Premier League. The Gunners play host to Sunderland and will be desperate to secure all three points against the Black Cats as they look to maintain their title charge.
It remains to be seen as to whether Szczesny will start in goal for Arsenal at the Emirates this weekend.
