Robin van Persie has taken to Facebook to reminisce about a fond memory he shared with football legend Diego Maradona.

The Manchester United striker was pictured with the Argentine football legend last week during a warm weather training trip to Dubai, but that wasn't the first time Van Persie met Maradona.

Van Persie had a quick skills session with the man famous for the 'Hand of God' act and today revealed the video on his official Facebook page.

According to the description, it happened two years ago, which would have preceded his transfer to Old Trafford while he was still the captain of Arsenal.

Van Persie swapped the Gunners for the Red Devils in the summer of 2012 for £24m, angering Arsenal fans and delighting Manchester United fans in equal measure.

The Dutch striker went on to win the Premier League title with Manchester United and taking the Golden Boot in the process.
