Tottenham manager Tim Sherwood has made Chelsea striker Patrick Bamford one of his key summer transfer targets, according to the Metro.
Bamford has yet to make a senior appearance for Chelsea after completing a £1.5m move from Nottingham Forest in January 2012.
However, the 20-year-old impressed during a loan spell at MK Dons last season, while this term he had made an impact with Championship side Derby County.
Sherwood is a keen admirer of the 6ft 2in striker and is prepared to throw him straight into the Spurs first team next season.
Bamford, an England Under-21 international, has scored five goals in seven Championship appearances this season - and appears to have a bright future ahead of him in the game.
But with first-team opportunities expected to be limited at Stamford Bridge, Bamford is likely to need to leave the west London outfit in order to become a regular at a Premier League club.
Tottenham, it seems, are prepared to offer him the opportunity to cement his status as a Premier League striker.
