Manchester United yet again had scouts on hand to watch Sporting Lisbon star William Carvalho, according to Portuguese newspaper A Bola.

In recent weeks it’s been no secret that the youngster has been on the Premier League champions' radar, and it would appear that David Moyes holds him in incredibly high regard, as he has now had the player watched in 14 of Sporting’s games this league.

Currently possessive of a release cause which means he is worth €45million to his club, it’s likely that he will cost a fair chunk of any summer transfer that Moyes is afforded.

However the Scot’s insistence on having him watched every week is a clear indication that he is intending to make a move for him at the next available opportunity.

Having played a large part in Sporting’s season so far, Carvalho has impressed on a number of occasions and is tipped for a bright future in the game. Whether or not Moyes will back up his interest by risking a €45million outlay remains to be seen however.
