Bolasie's Blog: Manchester United

I wasn't too disappointed I didn't start against Manchester United because I had started the last eight Premier League games before yesterday's match.

A shift on the wing in the Premier League under Tony Pulis is hard because he expects you to get up and down the flank constantly.

Wingers need a rest at some point and yesterday was my day to sit out which I can fully understand.

We had been looking forward to playing Manchester United as matches against teams of their magnitude at home are always fantastic occasions.

I thought we did really well against the Premier League champions - despite the eventual scoreline. The penalty changed the game but we were right in it until Robin van Persie broke the deadlock.

We would have had a good chance of drawing the match or even nicking the three points if we could have held on for a bit longer.

The likes of Wayne Rooney, Adnan Januzaj and Van Persie are some of the best players in the Premier League - but I thought our defence done really well to contain them until they were awarded the penalty.

We have to move on from the result and look forward to the Swansea game as they are a team that are also battling against relegation.

The game at Swansea next Sunday is particularly important as they are only two points ahead of us.

We are still in 15th spot so we just need to carry on working hard and look to claim as many points as we can in the last 12 games of the season.
