It seems like the athletic training staff of the New York Jets are never off duty.
As reported by the National Football Post, whilst on board a flight headed to Indianapolis for the NFL Combine they came to the aid of an ailing passenger.
It appears that the group, led by John Melody, were alerted to the distress of the female member of the public, and quickly acted to give her potentially life saving CPR.
They administered the required procedure during the flight before handing over to ground medical staff who took over upon landing.
With franchise's boasting huge numbers of staff members stories like this can get lost amongst the attention-grabbing activities of the playing roster.
But, despite having no legal obligation to intervene in the situation, it is testament to the professionalism of the Jets team that they were willing to help.
And it seems they were straight back to the day job as they landed in Indianapolis to complete their Combine work.
