Thierry Henry has had enough. The Frenchman is not happy with the view that some of his contemporaries in Europe about the level of soccer in MLS.

Henry only managed to notch 10 goals last season in the league, and promises players in Europe that the standard of play is not as easy as they think.

"People [in Europe] have the view of MLS that it’s an easy league, that you can come here and score goals and it’s going to be easy," Henry told ESPN.FC "I keep on telling them, ‘It’s not that easy.’ You have to perform, you have to show people here that you can play and they’ll give you your respect, but not before that."

Henry struggled to find the net last year, having his worst goalscoring season since the last year he spent at Barcelona in 2009/10 when the former Arsenal man netted 4 times in 21 appearances.

"I keep on telling them, ‘It is not that easy,’ but I guess the guys can only come and try to find out themselves," Henry argued. "They have to come here and notice, especially one thing that used to be hard for me in the beginning was the travel.

Whilst the standard of quality in the league has risen in the past few years, the level of defending can still be diabolical in some games.

Is Thierry making excuses for his poor turnout last season, or is he right in saying the league isn't easy any more?
