Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has blasted his strikers in what was supposed to be a private conversation with a Swiss businessman.

The Portuguese tactician was caught on camera by French media outlet Canal Plus stating his unhappiness at the form of his strikers.

Mourinho also questioned the age of Chelsea's 32-year-old forward Samuel Eto'o.

It is not yet known if the former Real Madrid and Inter Milan boss was joking when he discussed the Cameroonian international's age, however his comments will surely irk Eto'o.

Eto'o is said to have a good relationship with Mourinho as the duo formed a close bond during their time together at Inter Milan.

Mourinho said on Eto'o: "The problem with Chelsea is I lack a striker.

"I have Eto'o but he is 32 years old, maybe 35, who knows?"

Mourinho's comments come weeks after Lazio forward Joseph Minala was accused of being 41 rather than 17.

The Chelsea boss is expected to address the media this afternoon as the Blues face a last-16 Champions League tie against Galatasaray on Wednesday night.
