Roy Keane's cutting assessment of Manchester United's failure in their Champions League last-16 first leg defeat against Olympiacos has already garnered plenty of attention, after he laid into midfielder Michael Carrick following his tepid post match interview last night.
The Red Devils legend - who now works as a pundit for ITV - was criticised for his outspoken opinions, and prompted an angry reaction from the England international's wife on Twitter, having been singled out to bear the brunt of Keane's obvious frustration.
Lisa Carrick quickly deleted her tweet and apologised for the emotional outburst, but it had already been gobbled up by the social media sphere and blown out of proportion as is often the case with online altercations of this nature.
However, one positive that came from the fallout was talkSPORT's hilarious mock-up of the underlying post-match theme, which saw the Republic of Ireland assistant manager referring to Carrick's interview as "flat - just like Manchester United's performance".
Based on 'Troy', the epic 2004 war film that stars Brad Pitt and Orlando Bloom, a spoof version of the Hollywood blockbuster aptly named 'Roy' depicts the former Manchester United captain with a sword to the neck of Carrick, the latest victim of his silver-tongued tirade.
The film poster was enjoyed greatly at GiveMeSport HQ, and got us thinking of other instances that instigated funny football mock-ups.
