Manchester United defender Michael Keane is being tracked by Championship side Blackburn Rovers, according to the Daily Mirror.

The 21-year-old defender spent three months on loan at Derby County earlier on in the season but returned to Old Trafford after failing to break into the Rams' first team.

Keane has also found games hard to come by at Manchester United as he is behind the likes of Nemanja Vidic, Rio Ferdinand and Chris Smalling in the pecking order.

However the England Under-21 defender could be handed the chance of getting some game-time under his belt before the end of the season by joining Blackburn Rovers.

Blackburn boss Gary Bowyer is on the lookout for a defender as Grant Hanley is currently out of action.

Keane could come up against his twin brother Will, who is currently on loan at Queens Park Rangers, if he does join Blackburn Rovers as the two sides meet at Ewood Park on April 8.
