Just when you thought things couldn't get any worse for Manchester United following their disappointing 2-0 defeat against Olympiakos in the Champions League in midweek, three of David Moyes' senior players were humbled again, this time in the Foxy Bingo crossbar challenge.

The Daily Mail reports how Ryan Giggs, Darren Fletcher and Chris Smalling were pitted against Super League stars Kevin Sinfield, Ryan Bailey and Rangi Chase, and swiftly beaten by the Salford City and Leeds Rhinos trio.

Tasked with hitting the crossbar from 10 and 20 yards from goal, the Rugby League players used footballs, while the Manchester United stars were given rugby balls, in an attempt to see which sport's skills shone brightest.

It was a tightly-contested tussle, but the Super League stars came out on top, winning the challenge 4-3, despite an impressive final kick from Red Devils defender Smalling. Back to the drawing board lads!

See how the Foxy Bingo crossbar challenge played out in the video above, and have your say in the comment box provided which Manchester United player you think would perform best in the task.
