Chelsea: Predicted XI v Fulham

Football News

It's certainly not been a quiet week for Chelsea, with Jose Mourinho's off-the-record comments about striker Samuel Eto'o making headlines prior to Wednesday's Champions League clash against Galatasaray in Istanbul.

Last weekend had gone very well for the Blues, with a last-gasp goal from long-serving captain John Terry earning the team a narrow 1-0 win over Everton which kept their slender advantage of the summit of the Premier League intact.

Proceedings turned somewhat sour in the lead up to the fixture at the Turk Telekom Arena, however, with Mourinho evidently furious that such private comments had found their way into the public domain.

As it was, the last 16 first-leg tie was satisfying enough. Despite many Chelsea fans and Mourinho himself perhaps feeling that they did more than enough to win the tie, a 1-1 draw - with goals coming from Fernando Torres and Aurelien Chedjou - still makes them favourites to progress.

Chelsea's attentions must return back to the Premier League title race on Saturday, however, with a trip to local rivals Fulham on the agenda.

In term of team news for the short journey to Craven Cottage for the visitors, we are a little in the dark due to Mourinho not being in a position to give such information at his traditional pre-match press conference this afternoon.

However, with Chelsea having only played on Wedneday, you have to imagine that there will one or two changes to the staring lineup.

With that in mind, here's how we think Chelsea will line up as they attempt to stay top of the Premier League...

Chelsea predicted XI v Fulham:

Cech; Azpilicueta, Terry, Cahill, Ivanovic; Matic, Ramires; Willian, Hazard, Oscar; Torres.
