There was a battle going on all night between goaltender Darcy Kuemper of the Minnesota Wild and Chris Higgins of the Vancouver Canucks.
It think its fair to say that Kuemper came out victorious as he first denied Higgins in regulation time with a great save and denied him in the game winning shootout.
Kuemper's save meant that the shootout was scoreless after both teams had attempted three shots and would be going to sudden death.
The save proved to be as important as ever as the Wild came away 2-1 winners with with Justin Fontaine scoring the only penalty shot of the shootout in the 7th round.
