Randy Orton has climbed to number one in the WWE power rankings following his title defense at the recent Elimination Chamber event according to WWE.com.
Orton defended his WWE Heavyweight World Championship at the event on February 23rd by defeating John Cena, Sheamus, Daniel Bryan, Christian and Cesaro.
Cena, who had been atop the rankings prior to the event, fell to sixth place this week after the event.
Randy Orton became the youngest wrestler to ever secure the championship when he won the belt from Chris Benoit in 2004. Orton has held the title since October last year when he defeated Daniel Bryan.
The Bryant Family have also risen in the power rankings and now sit at number two after their victory against The Shield. Beaten Elimination Chamber wrestler, Daniel Bryan stands pat at third in the rankings aided by wins on Raw and Smackdown on recent weeks.
Batista and The Shield round out the top five and fourth and fifth place respectively.
