Los Angeles Lakers guard, Kobe Bryant has hit out at doubters of the team and has claimed that he will use any criticism as fuel for next season.

Speaking on Power 106 radio, Bryant said:

"So what I’d like everybody to do is to really just sit back and just absorb this year. Take it all in. Sit back and watch and listen and hear all the hate that’s being thrown at us and remember every person that’s kicking you when you’re down because next year it ain’t gonna be this way. Appreciate it now. Let it sit in now, because revenge is sweet and it’s quick…."

The Lakers season has been a disaster so far with Bryant himself sidelined for all but six games of it. Pau Gasol, Steve Nash and Nick Young have also struggled with injury this year and it is apparent that the team have not replaced Dwight Howard who left in the offseason.

The 16-time champions currently have the joint worst record in the Western Conference and seem to be on-course for a top-five pick in this year's NBA draft.

Bryant returned to the floor in December after recvoering from the achilles problem that ruled him out of last year's playoff defeat to the San Antonio Spurs.

However he soon was on the bench again after fracturing his tibia. The latest news is that the star is still experiencing some swelling and soreness on the leg and will be reevaluated later this month.

Bryant has won five titles with the Lakers but the team have been on a steep decline ever since Mike Brown was fired in 2012.
