Ronaldinho enjoys having a good time, that much is clear even from his play on the pitch.

His celebration, the fact you can't wipe that infectious grin from his face, and his wonderful, mesmeric style of play. Everything about him is Samba.

Off the field there have been rumours about a playboy lifestyle, nothing new for a footballer though.

And last weekend it was Carnival in the Brazilian city of Salvador - the largest city on the northeast coast of the country and one of the locations for this summer's World Cup.

It's often cited as the biggest party on the planet, with the weeklong celebration known to attract as many as four million people.

And, of course, Ronaldinho was there. He harbours ambitions of a music career upon retirement and took to the stage to give the Brazilian public what they wanted - Ronaldinho the rapper.

You can check out some of his performance in the video above. But the late-night antics didn't come without cost and a bleary eyed Ronaldinho turned up for Atletico Mineiro training the next day late.

And Portuguese newspaper A Bola reports the Brazil international copped a hefty fine for his all-nighter.

Looks like it might have been worth it though...
