NFL draft prospect, Johnny Manziel is not short of fans ahead of the NFL draft with many believing that the Texas A&M quarterback is the best of the top signal callers available.

However, ESPN analyst Skip Bayless has gone one further and believes that Manziel is better than some veteran quarterbacks in the NFL.

On his twitter account today, Bayless said that the Dallas Cowboys should consider trading away Tony Romo to land the incoming rookie.

Bayless tweeted: "If Texans would take Romo for Manziel, I'd do it in a heartbeat. Romo will tease w/ near-greatness then break your heart. Manziel=winner."

The Houston Texans have the first pick in the draft but reports reveal that Manziel is certainly not a favorite among officials with Blake Bortles the preferred quarterback candidate.

However the Dallas Cowboys have claimed that they are keen on Manziel with owner Jerry Jones saying that: “I’m a big fan of his, a serious fan of his, as a football player, as a winner."

A trade between the two Texas based franchises seems unlikely at this stage with Tony Romo having just restructured his contract with the Cowboys to create cap space.

Certainly all eyes will be on Texas as the NFL draft approaches.
