UFC light heavyweight Jimi Manuwa has received support from an unlikely source ahead of his main-event clash with Alexander Gustafsson at the 02 Arena this weekend, with rap mogul 50 Cent using Twitter to back the 'Poster Boy'.

Manuwa has yet taste defeat since becoming a professional mixed martial artist in 2008, rattling off 13 straight stoppage victories in decisive and destructive fashion.

Thanks to a hook-up with SMS Audio 50 Cent has spread word of the 'Poster Boy' with 7.39m followers on Twitter that the London-based brawler is worth watching on Saturday night, as he bids to take down the UFC's number one contender for the light heavyweight title.

50 Cent posted: "Check out my man @posterboyjm UFC he ready. #smsaudio"

Manuwa responded with his training mantra #lionseatfirst, a message he will need to practice as well as preach in his bid to take advantage of the chance of a lifetime.

Gustafsson represents a formidable challenge and has mixed with the very best at elite level in the UFC, most memorably in a razor-thin defeat to light-heavyweight champion Jon Jones last September.

Despite being ranked outside the top 10 in the light heavyweight division Manuwa can definitely gatecrash the title picture with a career-best win on home soil this weekend.
