Chelsea to eventually replace Jose Mourinho with Klopp?

Borussia Dortmund manager Jurgen Klopp is the current favourite to eventually take over from Jose Mourinho as Chelsea manager, according to leading bookmaker Paddy Power.

Klopp has cemented his reputation as one of Europe’s most outstanding coaches during his six years at Signal Iduna Park, where he has led BVB to back-to-back Bundesliga titles, a German Cup and a DFL-Supercup.

He also masterminded Dortmund’s run to the Champions League final last year.

Paddy Power have Klopp priced at 4/1 to become the next permanent Chelsea manager when Mourinho either decides to leave Stamford Bridge - or the Blues’ owner Roman Abramovich grows tired of the Portuguese coach for a second time.

Of course, Mourinho - having only returned to Stamford Bridge last summer - is expected to remain with the west London outfit for a number of years yet.

However, the bookmaker’s ‘Next Permanent Chelsea Manager’ market may provide a few clues as to who Abramovich would consider appointing if Mourinho was to leave the Bridge.

The current second favourite to become Chelsea's next head coach is Mourinho’s nemesis Pep Guardiola, who is currently working wonders at Bayern Munich, while other names on the list include Atletico Madrid’s Diego Simeone (16/1), Chelsea legend Gianfranco Zola (33/1) and Newcastle boss Alan Pardew (200/1).

Chelsea fans: If Mourinho was to leave Stamford Bridge tomorrow, would you be happy for Klopp to replace him?

Which others managers would be in contention?
