LeBron blames long sleeves for low scoring game

LeBron James was finding excuses in the earlier defeat against the Spurs.

Whilst he started performing well, his stats tailed off after the second quarter and Miami slumped to defeat against the San Antonio Spurs, having now lost three in a row.

LeBron, who scored a massive 61 points on Monday hasn't been able to find a rhythm over the rest of the week, but post-match interviews are blaming the clothes rather than the man.

James is famous for not liking the longer sleeve uniform and thankfully tonight's game was the last outing for it.

Whilst the Spurs did a good job of keeping James and the heat out of close scoring range, the Heat still pressed on from distance until fatigue got the better of them.

The Spurs are a bogey team for LeBron who has never beaten them at all in his four years with Miami and after tonights 87-111 loss, that doesn't look like a statistic that will change any time soon.

One positive is that the protective mask for James' broken nose came off during the first quarter.

After being hit earlier in the week he had been advised by doctors that his recovery may take another couple of weeks. But LeBron, obviously uncomfortable in his uniform, removed the mask in the first quarter and seemed to be physically fine.
