Juan Mata has revealed that it's amazing to have won the Manchester United Player of the Month award for February.

As reported by Manchester United's official website, the Spanish international has insisted that he's feeling good in Manchester and enjoying playing football for the club.

Mata saw off the likes of Patrice Evra and Nemanja Vidic to win the award, as he topped the poll with 55%.

Evra ended second in the vote, whilst United's departing captain came third in the poll which was voted for by fans.

Speaking to Manchester United's official website, Mata said: “It's amazing for me to be awarded with this prize after my first month. I have played just a few games, five games I think, and I am really grateful the fans have voted for me.

“I feel really happy. Life in Manchester is good, I have already found a house, I have a new home and I am trying to know different places around the city. It is a really nice city to live in. It is quiet, relaxing and you can be focused on what is important – playing football.”

Despite Mata having won the award as United's best player in February, David Moyes' side have struggled for consistency domestically.

The Red Devils will now be hoping to improve this month, as they look to secure all three points against West Brom tomorrow lunch time.

And Mata, who wasn't involved in the international break this past week, will be hoping to play his part at the Hawthorns.
