WWE superstar Daniel Bryan has admitted that he has not heard from CM Punk since he appeared to leave the company earlier this year.

35-year-old Punk - who was one of the most popular names in the business not so long ago - disappeared from screens back in January amid some confusion from fans.

Chairman and CEO Vince McMahon did little to clarify the situation last month, simply insisting that he was on a 'sabbatical.'

Bryan - who looks like he could be shaping up to face the legendary Triple H at Wrestlemania XXX in New Orleans next month - also appears unable to help finally clear up the mystery.

"Honestly, I don't know that much," he told Detroit Sports 105.1 this week in an interview that was quoted by WrestlingInc.com.

"I haven't heard from him since he left. The company hasn't really released anything other than he's no longer with the company right now."

However, like so many WWE fans out there who are wondering just how this situation with Punk turns out, Bryan appears just as eager to find out how it will all be resolved in the long-term.

He added: "It'll be interesting to see what happens."

Meanwhile, the attention of the WWE universe will turn to Smackdown on Friday night as Dolph Ziggler meets Christian, Alberto del Rio goes up against Sheamus, Big E clashes with Jack Swagger and Bryan and Big Show go up against Kane and Batista in Detroit.
