Lance Moore seems to have confirmed his exit from the New Orleans Saints today.
While there had been reports that the wide receiver would leave the franchise this offseason there has been no official announcement, but the player took to Twitter today to say his goodbyes:
"Thank you New Orleans for an amazing nine years. Who Dat Nation, the best on earth!!!," he told followers.
Late on Thursday night Moore had tweeted that he remained unsure on his future but it seems that he became aware that his time in the Louisiana city was coming to an end Friday morning.
Moore was picked up by the Saints in 2005 and has 36 receiving touchdowns and 3,826 receiving yards to his name during his pro career.
He was a part of the team that won Super Bowl XLIV but saw his opportunities limited last season after missing three games through injury - he appeared in 13 games picking up 33 receptions.
He is set to head for free agency now though, taking his unique touchdown celebrations with him.
The New Orleans Saints have yet to officially confirm his departure.
