Indianapolis punter Pat McAfee has signed a new five-year deal with the Colts worth $14m, according to Fox Sports.
The 26-year-old announced the news in style - telling viewers live on NFL Network's NFL AM minutes after he was told that the deal had been finalised.
"It's March 7, 2014. Some know it as Jeff Feagles' birthday. Some know it as the last day at NFL AM for me," McAfee said. "But my phone vibrated about five minutes ago and let me know that I have agreed to terms with the Indianapolis Colts for five years. So I will be an Indianapolis Colt for five years. Really pumped about it.
"This is really cool. I love the city of Indianapolis. I'm so excited to be there for another five years."
McAfee later confirmed the news via his Twitter account, writing: "So excited about the opportunity 2 have 5 more years in the city that I love.. Indianapolis, let's win a lot of games and have fun doing it."
McAfee, who joined the Colts in 2009, was 11th in the NFL in average yards per punt (46.0) and level in 13th for punts inside the 20-yard-line.
