Former WWE world champion, Kurt Angle is set to appear in 'Sharnado 2: the second one' according to wrestlingnewssource.com.

Angle, who also won a gold medal at the 1996 Olympic games in Atlanta has appeared in a number of television shows and movies since the mid-1990's and is set to play the role of a fire chief in the upcoming made-for-TV sequel.

The original movie hit the SyFy channel last year and starred Tara Reid and Ian Ziering in the mock disaster horror story.

Sharnado was based on the premise of a freak hurricane which causes man-eating sharks to land on the streets of Los Angeles.

Tara Reid is set to reprise her role in the sequel along with Ian Ziering. The movie will also include the appearances of Kelly Osbourne, Andy Dick and Perez Hilton.

The movie is slated for a release in July of this year and will likely air on the SyFy channel once again.

Kurt Angle won the WWF championship as it was then known in 2000 and was integral to the 'Invasion' storyline during 2001 and 2002. Angle has been known for a number of feuds during his career in wrestling.
