Chelsea's ascent to the top of the Premier League table has been largely based on a water-tight defence that has been breached less times than any other side in the division this season.

With just 22 goals conceded, Jose Mourinho's side have let in five fewer than the next best back-lines at Manchester City and Everton, six less than Arsenal, nine less than Manchester United and 13 fewer than Liverpool.

Their 4-0 victory against Tottenham Hotspur at Stamford Bridge on Saturday marked the Blues' 13th clean sheet of the 2013/14 campaign, which is testament to the impressive form of a number of their defensive-minded players.

Cesar Azpilicueta has earned high praise from Mourinho this season, as his consistent performances continue to keep Ashley Cole out of Chelsea's starting XI, while club captain John Terry is back to his best under the tutelage of the Portuguese manager.

But how many of Chelsea's defensive stars feature among the 10 best defenders in the Premier League this season based on WhoScored statistics.

Click through the tabs - above or below - to work your way through the list from 10 to 1, and leave a prediction in the comment box provided with how many of Mourinho's men you think made the cut…!
