Real Madrid are plotting a bid for Sevilla full-back Alberto Moreno, according to talkSPORT

The 21-year-old, who has been in sensational form in La Liga this season, has attracted great interest from some of Europe's elite clubs in recent time.

It had been reported that Liverpool were interested in Moreno, who has a £25 million buyout clause.

But it now appears that Real will step up their pursuit of the Spanish star and are seemingly prepared to offer around £16m for his services

It remains to be seen as to whether Brendan Rodgers' side challenge the Bernabeu outfit for the signature of Moreno, but Real now seem in the driving seat.

Liverpool's immediate focus will turn to their clash with bitter rivals Manchester United on Sunday. The Reds will be hoping to secure all three points against David Moyes' side as they look to take a major step towards securing Champions League qualification.
